Regenera (Fibroblasting) is a non-invasive, needle-free skin lifting, skin tightening and rejuvenating treatment with significant, long lasting results, low downtime (compared to surgery) at a fraction of the cost. Sometimes known as Plasma Pen or Plasma Fibroblasting, it is being referred to as “the next best thing” in the beauty industry for all those reasons.
What are Fibroblasts?
Fibroblasts are the unsung heroes of skin rejuvenation. They are the main cell type in the dermis (the skin layer beneath the epidermis) – a crucial area where all of your key skin cells and blood supply are; the powerhouse of skin activity. They are produced from skin stem cells and are vital to building and maintaining collagen and elastin, the best friends of youthful looking skin.
As we age, our pool of skin stem cells decreases and they become less active, producing fewer of these Fibroblasts (think of them as soldiers on our side!)
The Science
The science behind the treatment is that a plasma flash produced by the pen (the tool used by the therapist), without any penetration of the epidermis, stimulates the “soldiers” to produce more collagen and repair the skin.
